A Brief History of Westway United Church

Welcome to Westway United Church, a Faith and Community Centre located in west Etobicoke. We gather for worship every Sunday morning at 10:30 am. Through our rental facilities many community groups use our spaces for different types of meetings, instructional groups, child care, different church congregations, and the WUC Food Bank (and more!).
The Beaver Bible Class originated in 1928 as a Sunday School Class founded by J. Gordon Knox at Westmoreland United Church in Toronto. It moved to Westway United Church in 1986. While no longer meeting, the Beaver Bible Class was a beloved time of spiritual nourishment and fellowship here at Westway UC.
